Unico Zelo, Pollen 2023

Unico Zelo was founded by husband-wife team, Brendan & Laura Carter, two winemakers who wanted to shine a spotlight on the incredible soil, terroir and potential of cool-climate Australian wine. They have vineyards throughout the Adelaide Hills, and are making some of Australia's best and downright coolest wines we've seen in a while. Pollen 2023 is made from 100% Gewürztraminer taken from Clare Valley. Done in very Aussie style, this Gewürz was harvested slightly early and fermented to dryness, leaving a super-refreshing, brightly aromatic wine. The nose bursts with notes of potpourri, ginger and zesty lime aromatics; a gorgeous chalky texture, riddled with golden apples, white peach and pineapple bring on the vibrant finish. A knockout with Asian-inspired street-food.
